This position provides financial analysis, managerial, consultative and strategic support for the Employee Health & Benefits (EHB) Manager regarding all aspects of the County’s employee benefits and wellness programs. Directs vendors’ staff to ensure complete medical and claims management, and cost-effective operations. Responsible for integrating strategies of the EHB program with Human Resources and the Safety & Risk Management unit to promote a safe workplace and a healthy workforce. Conducts technical research, analysis and consultation for BCC management and elected officials on complex benefits and wellness issues.
Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in public administration, human resources, business administration, finance or related field and three (3) years of professional level related experience in human resources, including benefits. Professional related benefits experience may substitute for the required degree on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualification: Human resources and/or benefits certification (PHR, CEBS) preferred.
