$2,164.80 - $3,355.20 Biweekly
$56,284.80 - $87,235.20 Annually
The City "typically" hires at the starting rate up to the mid-point of $71,760.00.

Under the general direction of the Controller, the incumbent supervise and direct staff in all functions of the City's payroll division. Responsible for the accurate production and distribution of payroll checks to a work force of approximately 1,000, processing payroll in compliance with three bargaining unit contracts and non-represented employees. Assist with ensuring that payroll transactions are properly accounted for in accordance with governmental accounting practices and policies and in interpreting procedures, recording and reporting transactions and preparing payroll related financial records and reports.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the City's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
