ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
This is a professional and administrative position responsible for Accounting, Financial Reporting, Budgeting, Revenue Forecasting and Fiscal Management. Reports to the Finance Director, but works with minimal direct supervision and exercises considerable independent judgment. Acts on behalf of the Finance Director during his/her absence.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Required Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Related Field, plus Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience, including supervisory experience, in fund accounting, governmental or similar budgeting or financial management experience, including responsibility for CAFR and budget preparation depending on assignment; Florida Certified Government Finance Officer designation desired; Master’s degree preferred. A combination of education and experience may be considered.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to sit at a desk or computer work station for extended periods of time. Ability to lift files up to 25 pounds on a regular basis. Ability to bend/squat and occasionally climb a ladder or retrieve files. Ability to communicate verbally in person and on the telephone. During occasions of local emergencies this position may be required to report to perform emergency tasks, which may result in extended work hours as well as extended periods of time away from family members. The Incident Commander and the employee’s department Head will make the determination as to who will be required to work.
