Executive Administrative Assistant

Summary
Provides administrative and clerical support to the Executive Director, Assistant Director, Chief Financial Officer and members of the Board of Commissioners and OPEB Board of Trustees and performs general administrative support duties as needed

Qualifications
•Must have five or more years of administrative experience supporting Executive or C-Suite Level staff; preferably in a local government or special taxing district in Florida
•Must have excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office
•Must be proficient in the use of a variety of standard office equipment
•Must be willing to be available to work during times when the rest of the Districts may be closed in order to provide support to the Executive staff as needed
•Must be able to obtain and maintain a current State of Florida Notary Public Commission
•Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
•Must demonstrate an ability to be exposed to confidential and sensitive information and exercise discretion when dealing with such information as appropriate
•Must be able to obtain a Florida Public Health License within six months of hire and maintain license for duration of employment (study materials will be provided after hire)
•Must have a valid Florida Class E driver’s license with a clean driving record

Compensation
The hiring range for this full-time, non-exempt position is $17.48 to $23.31 per hour, but final offer will depend on experience and qualifications. Excellent benefits package including Florida Retirement System, medical, dental, life/long/short term disability and generous paid time off package.

The Lee County Mosquito Control District and the Lee County Hyacinth Control District are two independent special taxing districts with combined total budgets of $29 million, located in Lehigh Acres, FL (near Fort Myers) governed by seven (7) elected Commissioners and overseen by one (1) Executive Director.
