The City is seeking candidates for the position of Director of Economic Development which will work collaboratively and strategically to move the City forward while building on a strong history of careful planning, aesthetics, and quality of life. The Director of Economic Development reports to a Deputy City Manager is responsible for leading, planning and implementing the economic development plan and leading the City’s economic development efforts. The Director will proactively identify quality business prospects and establish and execute marketing campaigns to attract businesses, as well develop and maintain positive working relationships with existing businesses to encourage retention and expansion projects, in addition to commercial real estate development and redevelopment support. A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Business or Public Administration, Economic Development, Real Estate or a related field is required, along with a minimum of five (5) years of senior level economic development experience, preferably with a public sector agency. The salary range is $107,000 - $170,000; starting salary will be dependent upon qualifications. The position is open until filled.
